The Raiders released a statement as well, which reads as follows:

ORIGINAL
According to a report from TMZ, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs was involved in a serious car wreck very early on Tuesday morning.

TMZ Sports was told by law enforcement sources that the 22-year-old wideout was in an accident that occurred at 3:40 a.m., adding fuel to speculation from earlier in the day that one of the cars looked like Ruggs' corvette when pictures surfaced.

A local report says that the crash resulted in at least one fatality, though TMZ added an update to their initial story that a source close to Ruggs says he's "expected to be OK." It is still unknown whether or not alcohol or drugs factored into the accident, as well as the conditions of others involved in the crash.

Ruggs' attorney, David Chesnoff, told TMZ Sports that they are conducting their own investigation and that they "ask everyone to reserve judgment until all the facts are gathered."

Ruggs lost his friend, Rod Scott, in a car accident in March of 2016, and he has continued to honor Scott with a three-finger salute after scoring a touchdown. In his 20-game NFL career, Ruggs has scored four touchdowns after getting selected with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

This story will be updated.
