Dulac adds the move frees up about $20 million that won’t go against the cap this season.

The Steelers made a series of moves Monday, releasing linebackers Anthony Chickillo and Mark Barron along with receiver Johnny Holton.

Ramon Foster also announced his retirement on Monday as well.

More moves are expected before the NFL season officially begins on Wednesday.
