PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Reports are Steelers will be without Kenny Pickett for at least the next couple of games and potentially for most of the regular season.
Post-Gazette’s Gerry Dulac first reported Sunday night the Steelers starting quarterback will be out two-to-four weeks because of ankle surgery following an injury early against the Cardinals Sunday.
It happened on a third down-and-goal from the three-yard line as Pickett lunged to try for a touchdown, but had a defender fall on his ankle. Pickett injured his ankle in the win over Cincinnati, but was able to practice full all last week.
Pickett was 7 of 10 for 70 yards before leaving due to injury and coming off his most productive game of the season completing 73% of his passes for 278 yards in a win at Cincinnati. Mitch Trubisky took over and was 11-17 for 117 yards and a touchdown.
