Raheem Mostert has made quite the career for himself after going undrafted, and it’s gotten the attention of a Dolphins great he just passed in the record books.

The 31-year-old running back earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl this season after logging 1,012 yards on the ground with 18 touchdowns. Mostert has become an integral part of Miami's offense the last two years, which was preceded by over five seasons in San Francisco. The first two years of his career he had bounced around the NFL.

The 18 scores on the ground in 2023 set a franchise record, previously held by Ricky Williams, who had 16 in the 2002 campaign.

Williams told Another Dolphins Podcast that he has enjoyed watching Mostert’s ascent.

“I know Raheem," Williams said. "And after he broke the record I sent him a text and told him, honestly, I’ve been following his story. And to see him find so much success in Miami, it’s amazing. And it really speaks to how dynamic the offense is.

“When a running back in a pass-happy offense is scoring that many touchdowns, you know that they’re keeping it balanced and he’s showing up and doing his part. In these days where not every running back gets to 1,000 yards, Raheem’s season is impressive across the board.”
