(SportsRadio 610) -- Kansas City Royals outfielder Hunter Dozier has tested positive for COVID-19 and was placed on the injured list, just two days after playing six innings of defense against the Houston Astros in an exhibition game Monday.
The Royals made the decision to place Dozier on the injured list just before the team's final exhibition game at the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday.
Dozier played six innings in right field against the Astros on Monday.

July 21, 2020 Dozier did not play Tuesday. Dozier said Wednesday he was experiencing "a couple of symptoms that go with the virus," and that he'd followed the team's direction so he can get well.
The Astros are back at Minute Maid Park on Wednesday in their final intrasquad game before Opening Day. They start the season Friday with a four-game home stand against the Seattle Mariners.
