Former Steelers and Ravens offensive lineman and native Pittsburgher A.Q. Shipley expect Baltimore to demolish Pittsburgh on Saturday.
Shipley, a product of Moon Area High School and Penn State, said on the “Clean Pocket” podcast Thursday.
“The Ravens are going to beat the sh*t” out of the Pittsburgh Steelers in this game,” said Shipley.
Shipley along with Jay Gruden, Colt McCoy and Justin Pugh all picked the Ravens to win the possible division-clinching game for the Steelers.
“I have not been a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers offense all year and that same offense showed up last week (a loss to the Eagles),” said Shipley. “I just don’t think they’re very good, I really don’t. I think their offensive line is average at best, I think Russell (Wilson) is average at best.”
Shipley adds it’s possible that Wilson can make some plays with his “moon balls” but doesn’t see it happening against the Ravens.
The Post-Gazette’s Ray Fittipaldo says it’s going to be even harder for the offense without George Pickens. He was officially ruled out for the game on Thursday.
Fittipaldo says their offense has been good enough, “middle of the pack” and has had to rely on their defense.
Shipley was drafted by the Steelers in the 7th round of the 2009 Draft, but was released before the regular season. He started nine games for the Ravens in 2013.
