I’m fairly convinced that Myles Garrett could take down a combined team of seven Jordan Cohns — that’s me, by the way — in an arm wrestle, all at once, without breaking a sweat. I was pretty confident that this was the case before Week 4, based on his impressive resume of work and some of his insane workout videos that have surfaced of the Browns All-Pro defensive end.
But when he went sleeveless in Week 4 and completely punished the Minnesota Vikings offensive line, adding to his league-leading 6.0 sacks and seven tackles for loss, my notion was confirmed.
Apparently, it was enough to make the NFL suspicious — or perhaps just bewildered — of Garrett’s physical ability without any performance-enhancing supplements.
Ok, first thing’s first. His arms in the second picture on that post? Never mind beating seven of me in an arm wrestle… I’m not so sure a dozen Jordan Cohns, all of them using two arms at the same time, would be enough to overpower Garrett’s upper body strength.

And second? It might not just be the fact that he went sleeveless. His notification of the “random drug test,” in his words, may have occurred because he’s simply making plays that don’t seem possible for a human being. Please direct your attention to Exhibits A & B, the following two tweets, one from each of the past two weeks.
The second of those two plays was so impressive that it got Joe Thomas, the former Browns left tackle who racked up 10 Pro Bowl selections, to say that it would give him “nightmares” to watch. That’s saying something.
At this point, thanks in large part to his ridiculous 4.5-sack game in Week 3, Garrett is on pace for a casual 25.5 sacks on the season, which would blow out Michael Strahan’s 22.5-sack single-season official record and Al “Bubba” Baker’s 23-sack unofficial record. We’ll see if he can keep it up — so long as that “random” drug test comes back negative.
