NBC Sports NFL analyst Cris Collinsworth went viral after an unfortunate choice of words during Week 6's Cowboys-Eagles game on Sunday Night Football.
In a moment of apparent overexuberance -- and perhaps temporary insanity -- the former Bengals wide receiver turned announcer dropped a head-turning double entendre while describing the dominance of the Eagles' run game late in Philly's win over the division-rival Cowboys.
Collinsworth, apparently intending to say something along the lines of "running the ball down their throats," instead said the Eagles were giving the Cowboys "a little taste of Dickerson coming right down your throat" after a first-down run by Miles Sanders in which Eagles offensive lineman Landon Dickerson was one of the lead blockers.
Social media being the forum of famously high-brow discussion that it is, users were not about to let this botched remark go without a response.
Some even suggested Collinsworth did it on purpose:
Collinsworth been holding onto that "Dickerson down your throat long for MONTHS" dude barely got it off
