Is ESPN diving into the sports betting world? According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the Worldwide Leader is exploring a sports betting deal that could be worth at least $3 billion.
According to the Wall Street Journal’s report, Disney-owned ESPN is looking to license its brand to big sports-betting companies for at least $3 billion over multiple years. The company has reportedly spoken with Caesars Entertainment and DraftKings in regards to a deal.
The report also noted a deal between a sports betting company and ESPN would include an exclusive marketing commitment requiring the sports betting company to invest in advertising on ESPN’s platforms.
