Luka Doncic had one for the record books on Friday night in Atlanta.

Luka Magic was on full display, as Doncic poured in a whopping 73 points on 25-of-33 shooting from the floor in the Mavericks 148-143 win over the Hawks. Doncic's 73-point outing marked the 15th time in NBA history a player had scored more than 70 points in a game. Earlier this week, Sixers big man Joel Embiid scored 70 points in Philadelphia's win over the San Antonio Spurs.

According to Underdog NBA, Doncic had the most efficient 70-point game in NBA history, finishing with a true shooting percentage of 91.2. Doncic's previous career-high was 60 points.

In a strange bit of history, Doncic scored the most points in a game since Kobe Bryant scored 81 points in a game in 2006. Friday marked the four-year anniversary of Bryant's death.

Doncic is the fourth player in NBA history to score at least 73 points in one game, joining Bryant, Wilt Chamberlain, and David Thompson.
