PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Left for dead after three straight losses, the Steelers won the last three games to give themselves a shot at the playoffs. Playing in rainy Baltimore against the Ravens that had already clinched the number one seed, Steelers won 17-10 to finish the regular season 10-7.

It’s the Steelers first 10-win season since 2020 and just their second double-digit win season since 2017.

Now they wait. Steelers get into the playoffs if Tennessee beats Jacksonville, if the Colts and Texans tie or if the Bills lost at Miami Sunday night.

Steelers broke open a 7-7 game with a 71-yard touchdown pass from Mason Rudolph to Diontae Johnson on the first play of the fourth quarter. Rudolph zipped a pass in stride to the slashing Johnson and he took it the rest of the way untouched.

Steelers would add a field goal after Eric Rowe, who had left the game earlier due to injury, forced a fumble from Ravens starting tailback Gus Edwards, recovered by Markus Golden, who was in for the injured TJ Watt, at the Ravens 32 yard-line. Chris Boswell would hit a 25-yard field goal with 3:17 to play to seal it.

Notes
·     Rudolph finished 18-20 for 152 yards with a touchdown
·     Najee Harris rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown, going over 1,000 for the third straight season.
·     Johnson had four catches for 89 yards
·     Rowe finished with 12 tackles, 10 solo
·     Watt had eight tackles and two sacks even though he missed much of the fourth quarter
·     LB Mark Robinson had a sack as part of five tackles

Steelers last playoff appearance was in the Wild Card round in a loss at Kansas City in the 2021 season. Playing the Chiefs is an option if the Steelers make the playoffs.
