The Pittsburgh Steelers took on the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in week 14. They fell just short to them for a final score of 16-14.

It was a relatively quiet start to the game form both sides as the first four drives in the game only resulted in one field goal attempt that was made by the Ravens to give them a 3-0 lead closing out the first quarter.
The Raven’s then burst through with J.K. Dobbins within the last two minutes of the quarter, on a big 44-yard run and then scoring on a touchdown the next play to make it 10-0.
The Steelers then responded quickly after brining in quarterback Mitch Trubisky for rookie Kenny Pickett. He would hit George Pickens for a huge 42-yard game on his first drive that set up Najee Harris to take it to the end zone right up the middle. The quarter ends with the Ravens up by 3 at 10-7.
The defense locked down the Raven’s offense to start the second quarter, getting them to turn the ball over on downs. It turned out not to be in the Steelers favor though, as Trubisky got intercepted at the Baltimore 10 by Roquan Smith.
This ended up being the theme for the Steelers to close out the half. The Ravens sunk another field goal off the interception to make it 13-7 and then intercepted Trubisky again on the following drive, this time to Patrick Queen.
The story continued into the third quarter as neither team would be able to capture any momentum. Trubisky tried to make some magic happen with a deep pass intended to Diontae Johnson that got picked off by Marcus Williams in the end zone.
After a scoreless third quarter, the Steelers start the fourth with a promising drive, only to result in a 40-yard field goal attempt from Chris Boswell blocked by defensive end Calias Campbell.
In what could’ve been a 3-point game, turns into a 9-point game when the Ravens knock down their third field goal of the game on the next drive, bringing the score to 16-7.
With the desperation of having to score twice in the final three minutes of the game, the Steelers offense woke up and scored their second touchdown of the game through Pat Freiermuth.
It wasn’t enough for them to salvage the game as the Raven’s held the ball until the clock ran out to finalize the score at 16-14. Their record goes to 5-8.
Mitch Trubisky threw 22/30 for 276 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 interceptions.
Najee Harris led the run game again, rushing for 33 yards over 12 carries and 1 touchdown.
Diontae Johnson and George Pickens led the receiving end combining for 160 yards in 9 receptions, while Pat Freiermuth scored 1 touchdown.
Minkah Fitzpatrick led the defense with 11 tackles, while T.J. Watt recorded one sack.
