Joe Burrow out for the season with wrist injury

First Deshaun Watson, now Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is OUT for the season.

Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor confirmed Burrow tore a ligament during Thursday night’s loss to Baltimore.

Burrow threw a touchdown in the second quarter but grabbed his wrist immediately after the play.

He tried to throw a pass on the sidelines but couldn’t.

Burrow suffered a calf injury in the preseason and didn’t seem himself the first couple weeks, but started returning to his normal form as the season continued.

He was 5-5 this season with 2,309 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions.

He went 8-for-15 against the Ravens with one touchdown and QB rating of 87.6.

He signed as an undrafted free agent in 2019 with the Minnesota Vikings.

There is also a question on why Burrow wasn’t on the Bengals’ injury report before the game.

Video showed what appeared to be a brace on Burrow’s wrist/hand.

Whatever the result of that issue, the real issue for the Bengals is their star quarterback, who took them to a Super Bowl is now out until 2024.
