Since Sunday, America has mourned the death of beloved comedian and actor Bob Saget of Full House fame. Best known as America’s dad Danny Tanner, tributes to Saget have poured in from all directions including an emotional monologue from late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, who appeared visibly shaken at his friend’s passing.
Saget, who, in addition to his starring role on Full House, was also a series regular on How I Met Your Mother (he narrated all nine seasons) and the original host of America’s Funniest Home Videos, was honored again Tuesday night with the Nashville Predators, Columbus Blue Jackets and Chicago Bulls among teams paying homage to the late sitcom star.
If you attend a sporting event this week, don’t be surprised to hear the Full House theme play during a timeout. Kudos to arena organist Kyle Hankins for going the extra mile during Tuesday night’s game in Nashville.
Investigators are still determining Saget’s cause of death after he was found unresponsive at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando Sunday afternoon. Saget had headlined the previous night in suburban Jacksonville, performing at the Pondra Veda Concert Hall as the second stop on his “I Don’t Do Negative Comedy Tour.” He was 65.
