HOUSTON (SportsRadio 610) -- Texans cornerback Gareon Conley passed his physical and has been moved back to the active roster.

Conley, who underwent ankle surgery this offseason, had been on the active/physically unable to perform list since last month.

The Texans project Conley to be their starting cornerback opposite Bradley Roby, who could also play some slot corner, while Lonnie Johnson plays on the outside.

Conley was traded to the Texans from the Raiders last season for a third-round pick just before the Week 8 matchup between the two teams.

According to Pro Football Focus, Conley tied for second among cornerbacks with a 20 percent incompletion percentage last season.
