(SportsRadio 610) - The Texans are finally winners at home again after dominating the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-6 on Sunday.

Houston had not hosted a win since December 2021, when they finished with only four wins on the season. The Texans have accomplished half of that just four games into the 2023 season under first-year head coach DeMeco Ryans and rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud.

The Steelers were never really in this game, which follows a win for Houston at the Jacksonville Jaguars the previous week.

Stroud had another 300-yard passing game, going for 306 passing yards and a pair of touchdowns. He threw for 384 yards in the Texans' week two loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

The Texans had a 12-play, 69-yard touchdown drive to open the game. It took 6:05 off the clock and was capped by a short pass from Stroud to Nico Collins, who finished with 168 receiving yards and two touchdowns on seven catches.

Houston and Pittsburgh traded field goals until the fourth quarter, when Stroud pitched to running back Devin Singletary, who threw a six-yard spiral to tight end Dalton Schultz in the back of the end zone. Schultz was a key free agent signing in the offseason and picked up his first touchdown of the season after seemingly being an afterthought the first three games.

The Texans capped it off with a 52-yard catch-and-run to Collins with less than four minutes to go in the game.

To illustrate Houston's dominance, the Texans netted 271 yards in the first half compared to the Steelers' 53. For the game, they outgained 451 to 225.

It was a nice way to honor a legend, future Hall of Famer J.J. Watt, who was recognized in the Texans Ring of Honor at halftime.

The Texans (2-2) travel next week to face the Atlanta Falcons (2-2).
