While the Yankees and Guardians were playing Game 1 in the Bronx on Tuesday, a monstrous fire-breathing dragon flew over the stadium, threatening the conclusion of the game.
Okay, it was actually a very awkward CGI promo for the HBO hit series, “House of the Dragon.”
The TBS broadcast cut to reporter Lauren Shehadi out beyond Monument Park in center field, who jokingly talked about the game being threatened by one of the big dragons that highlight the fantasy show, and the broadcast showed a CGI dragon hovering over the field.
It was an interesting promo that wasn’t met kindly on Twitter.
