The Minnesota Twins are not done making trades on deadline day, as the club has acquired right-handed pitcher Tyler Mahle from the Cincinnati reds.

The 27-year-old pitcher was flipped for a bit of a haul, which included Christian Encarnacion-Strand, Steven Hajjar, and Spencer Steer.

Mahle is under team control through next season and will turn 28 next month. While he got off to a terrible start this season, he has quickly rebounded.

Since returning from a brief stint on the injury list due to shoulder strain, he has made a pair of effective starts.

Since May 29, Mahle has had an ERA of 2.83, a 27.9% strikeout rate, a 7% walk rate, and 57 ⅓ innings.

If the Twins make any other moves, they will need to be done within the next two hours, as the deadline is tonight at 5 p.m. CST.
