Joel Embiid had yet another fantastic performance Wednesday night in the Sixers' 104–101 overtime victory over the Toronto Raptors Wednesday night.
The star center nailed the game-winning three-pointer to put the Sixers up 3-0 in the series with the possibility of a sweep. After the game, Embiid went and found one of the more loud-mouthed and famous Raptors fan and started to rub his teams' loss in his face.
Grammy award-winning rapper Drake was on the receiving end of some trash talk from Embiid after his hometown Raptors are only one game away from taking an early vacation to Cancun, which the All-Star center made sure to let him know about.
“I’m coming for the sweep too,” Embiid said to Drake as the rapper laughed. “You better be there.”
Before heading into the locker room, Embiid made sure to ask the "Gods Plan" rapper if he would be in the building for Game 4 in Toronto. Drake said, "I’ll be there, what do you mean?” he said. “I’ll be there for that 3–1."
If the Raptors want to take this series to Game 5, they will have to find an answer for Embiid who went off for 33 points and 13 rebounds in 44 minutes of action Wednesday night and has double digits and each of his three games against Toronto.
