Sixers' guard Seth Curry is having the best season of his career. Curry is having career highs in both points, field goal and three-point percentage.
In Thursday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors, Curry had a solid game, putting up a 15-6-4 stat line in what was ultimately a losing effort for the Sixers. During one play in the middle of the third quarter, Curry got the ball and started to toy with Raptors guard OG Anunoby, pump faking him twice until he passed the ball and cut to the basket for an easy layup, leaving Anunoby confused as to what just happened.
Despite a valiant effort without Joel Embiid in the lineup, the story of the night was the performance from Fred VanVleet who led all players with 32 points and hit a dagger three-point bucket with 24.8 seconds left to ice the game after an 8-0 run.
The Sixers are sitting at fourth in the Eastern Conference but still have many questions that need to be answered regarding their beleaguered star PG Ben Simmons. Recent news coming from Simmons agent, Rich Paul saying that the 76ers are 'worsening' his clients' mental health.
