VIEW FROM PITTSBURGH: Will Big Ben and the Steelers ‘regret’ the decision to return for another season?

Ben Roethlisberger

PITTSBURGH (93.7 the Fan) Some big story lines heading into the 2021 Pittsburgh Steelers season is the new offensive line and the return of Ben Roethlisberger.

Both are being taken into question by Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio when he joined the PM Team Friday afternoon.

Given his well documented injury history, and reaching the age of 39, Florio says that “by November or December, the Steelers will regret the decision” to bring back Roethlisberger.

Florio went on to say that Big Ben himself would regret the decision.

With an inexperienced offensive line and an aging quarterback, could this be a harsh year for the Steelers offense?

Roethlisberger isn’t as mobile of a QB as he used to be and last seasons approach of getting the ball out of his hands as fast as possible was adopted out of necessity.

Can Roethlisberger and the team continue the same approach next season? Or is father time coming for the 39-year-old quarterback?
