The American Athletic Conference and ESPN have agreed to a 12 year media rights deal worth $1 billion that begins in 2020-21 and runs through 2031-32. The deal provides ESPN with rights to almost all of the AAC’s live programming. The majority of the basketball games and a significant number of football games will broadcast on the ESPN+ streaming service, with some Saturday football games to air on ABC and other select basketball and football games to air on ESPN, ESPN2 & ESPNU.
Michael Smith of Sports Business Daily had the story of the new AAC deal with ESPN and will join Jason & John Wednesday at 1:25pm to discuss. Read Michael's story HERE
