The Memphis Grizzlies obtained two 2nd-round picks from the Dallas Mavericks in a sign-and-trade deal for guard Delon Wright according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

It was an unlikely marriage between Memphis and Wright with incoming guard Ja Morant. The Grizzlies are likely to sign another guard to go along with De'Anthony Melton as the backup point guard.

For Delon Wright it was a sweet deal in Dallas, a 3-year $29-Million deal. The Memphis Grizzlies, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks, create a trade exception worth half of the outgoing salary for Delon Wright. Marks said the Grizzlies are now right at a projected $115-Million payroll (below luxury tax line).

In other Grizzlies news, Shams Charania from the Athletic reported that the Grizzlies shipped out 2-way player Julian Washburn for Andre Iguodala and received a first-round draft pick along with $2-Million in cash considerations.
