Memphis is sending its own 2019 and 2020 second-round picks in deal, per source. https://t.co/bKgNquYP5H

Can confirm Grizzlies trade as reported: Selden/MarShon Brooks/2019 & 2020 seconds for Justin Holiday. Move puts the Grizzlies very close to the tax line but not over it. More coming.

I’m a fan of this deal for the Grizzlies, actually. Holiday can help.

Memphis is still below the luxury tax by $463K with the addition of the $4.4M Justin Holiday expiring contract. The Grizzlies will inherit early bird rights on the guard. Memphis also creates an open roster spot but using now would put them in the tax.

Holiday is a 3 and D wing that can make an immediate impact on this team.

Memphis was always going to be a buyer considering they owe Boston a top-8 protected first-round pick that otherwise rolls over. They want to get that obligation over with this season, and obviously pass along as low a pick as possible. https://t.co/6WmKxIphFa

Holiday is a 3 and D wing that can make an immediate impact on this team.Giving up Selden, Brooks, and 2 picks may be a bit much, but with the cloud of the past failed trade looming/need for a consistent wing player, it’s worth it. #GrindCity https://t.co/9qkn7SBveV

Justin Holiday ranks 2nd in the NBA in Corner 3s, a shot Memphis has struggled with; they have hit just 32% from the corners, which is worst in the NBA. Holiday is hitting 43% from there. pic.twitter.com/s8TL6zTuqe
