4-star guard Matthew Murrell is transferring to IMG Academy for his senior season. Murrell is Tennessee's No. 2 prospect and the No. 85 prospect in the nation for the Class of 2020, according to 247Sports composite.
This comes after Murrell's head coach at Whitehaven High School, Faragi Phillips, decided to join Jerry Stackhouse's staff at Vanderbilt. Murrell joins former Memphis Tiger Trey Draper at IMG Academy. Murrell will play with five-star guard Jaden Springer, who is also a target for Penny Hardaway and his staff. Hardaway landed IMG's Lester Quinones a few weeks ago.
