Jaren Jackson Jr. was in his full glory scoring 29 points to go along with 5 assists, but it wasn't enough as the Clippers pulled away from the Grizzlies late to win 101-95 Friday night at FedExForum.
Memphis will be without both Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart for at least the next three weeks. Once again Friday GG Jackson (11 points in 24 minutes/+3) and Vince Williams (10 points on a down shooting night while guarding Kawhi during the night) displayed why fans are looking forward to a full healthy squad next season while attaining a high 2024 NBA Draft pick this summer.
The Los Angeles Clippers meanwhile, one of the hottest teams in the league, turned it on in the second half outscoring Memphis by 12 points in the second half behind 24 points from Kawhi Leonard and 23 from Terance Mann.
Next game: Memphis hosts the Brooklyn Nets at FedExForum Monday at 7:00 p.m. (pregame at 6:30 p.m.) live on 92.9 FM ESPN
