Max Carroll, a TCU commit, and the Briarcrest Saints made quite the comeback in Week 2 action at Houston High School. Final: Briarcrest Saints 29 Houston Mustangs 28

Carroll had just three receptions, but those 91 yards yielded two critical touchdowns for Briarcrest. It also included this play for 68 yards resulting in a touchdown for the Saints.

That play and two very important touchdowns against a stout Houston Mustangs team was enough for Max Carroll to claim honors as this week's 92.9 FM ESPN Week 2 High School Football Player of the Week.

Along with Carroll's exceptional play, Briarcrest overcame much adversity (down 21 at one point) to beat Houston and claims this week's #1 spot "in our mentions".

Munford, Germantown, Collierville, and Whitehaven rounded out the Top 5 for Week 2 in the Memphis area.

Top 5 Teams "in our mentions" for Week #2 in High School Football:
1. Briarcrest (beat Houston 29-28)
2. Munford (beat Millington 38-0)
