UPDATE 10/29:

Mavs big man Kristaps Porzingis will miss tonight's game against the Nuggets with low back tightness, the team announced Friday.

Porzingis missed the Mavs win over the Spurs Thursday with the same injury.

Guard Sterling Brown will also miss his second straight contest with a sprained left ankle.

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Mavericks will be shorthanded for their Thursday night home matchup with the San Antonio Spurs, with starting big man Kristaps Porzingis set to miss the game with an injury.

Porzingis was forced to exit the Mavs Tuesday night win over the Houston Rockets earlier this week with back tightness.

Following the win over Houston, Mavs head coach Jason Kidd updated the media on Porzingis' health, but left his status going forward a bit vauge.

"He's fine,'' Kidd said. "We just held him so we'll see how he feels tomorrow.''

With Porzingis now out, it is unclear how the Mavericks will shift their lineup vs. the Spurs, though it would stand to reason that Maxi Kleber and Moses brown would get extended run.

Another option for the Mavs would be shift Dorian Finney-Smith to a small ball power forward next to Dwight Powell, and inserting newcomer Reggie Bullock into the starting lineup at small forward.

The Mavs and Spurs will tip off at 7:30 PM at the American Airlines Center.
