The Memphis Grizzlies had another game where it was tight midway through the third quarter, this time on the road against the Chicago Bulls following the loss to the TImberwolves Thursday night. With 9:00 minutes to go in the third Jaren Jackson Jr. made a free throw to tie the game at 53-53. After that it was all Bulls. Final: Chicago Bulls 125 Memphis Grizzlies 96
Jaren Jackson led all Grizzlies scorers with 26 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Luke Kennard and Vince Williams Jr. added 14 a piece.
But the striking weakness for Memphis was once again the play of Santi Aldama, John Konchar and the #10 overall pick of the 2021 NBA Draft, Ziaire Williams. Williams' progress seems limited of late.
The Bulls on the other hand had seven players score in double figures. Former University of Illinois guard Ayo Dosunmu came off the bench for Chicago to lead all Bulls scorers with 20 points. Demar Derozan scored 18 points and had 8 assists. Bulls center Nikola Vucevic had a double-double 11 points and 11 rebounds.
