Memphis secured a gritty 103-98 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at FedExForum, improving to 17-22 on the season. The Grizzlies jumped out early with a strong first quarter and built a lead they defended down the stretch, thanks in part to Cedric Coward’s 21 points and timely scoring in the fourth.

Memphis dominated the boards 54-43 and hit 100% of their free throws, key in a close finish. The Nets battled back late, trimming the lead and even taking a brief advantage, but Memphis answered with crucial buckets and defensive stops to close out the win. Contributions from Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jaylen Wells helped balance the attack, while the Grizzlies defense made enough plays in the final minutes to seal the result.
