The Memphis Grizzlies continued their tough stretch Friday night, falling 119-109 to the Houston Rockets at FedExForum. Memphis battled throughout, even trimming the deficit to just three points early in the fourth quarter, but couldn’t keep pace down the stretch as Houston closed strong.
The game remained competitive through three quarters, with Memphis trailing just 87-82 entering the final frame. However, the Rockets leaned on their stars late, using a decisive fourth-quarter run to create separation. Houston outscored Memphis 32-27 in the final period, capitalizing on timely shot-making and second-chance opportunities to seal the win.
Olivier-Maxence Prosper was a bright spot for Memphis, delivering a career-high 31 points on efficient shooting while adding seven rebounds. GG Jackson and Javon Small chipped in 14 points apiece, with a long half court bright spot by Jackson.

The Rockets were led by Kevin Durant, who finished with 25 points and 10 assists, while Jabari Smith Jr. added 21 points and 16 rebounds in a dominant all-around effort. GG Jackson, while respecting Durant, talked about league favoritism toward the star player.
GG Jackson had some thoughts on the refs.
Said he respects Kevin Durant, but on the whistle KD got compared to him:
"It's unbelievable how the refs can suck up to somebody."
Tari Eason told him "Bruh you not KD."
