Beating the spread seems to be the recent objective for the Memphis Grizzlies of late as they enter the season ravaged by injuries. Friday night (10/27) the injury report (out) not only included the duo of Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke, but Memphis was forced to play without sharp-shooter Luke Kennard and Santi Aldama as well. Despite all of this Memphis put together a 4th quarter comeback to draw the margin closer. Final: Denver Nuggets 108 Memphis Grizzlies 104

Memphis had all 5-starters in double-figures, but it was a pour shooting night for Desmond Bane (1-of-10 from 3-point/4-of-17 overall) and only a couple of memorable bench performances for the Grizzlies from Derrick Rose (16 points in 22 minutes) and Jon Konchar with a strong defensive effort (+3 +/- and 6 rebounds with an important 30 minutes off the bench as Memphis used a 9-man rotation.
Saturday night's status report doesn't look much better from Memphis Grizzlies PR:
Saturday night: Memphis Grizzlies (0-2) vs Washington Wizards (0-1) live on 92.9 FM ESPN / 680 AM.
