Only time will tell, but the Memphis Grizzlies might have actually won a trade this morning with the Orlando Magic, as reported on 92.9 FM ESPN.

Desmond Bane heads to the Orlando Magic in exchange for veterans Kentavious Caldwell‑Pope, Cole Anthony, four unprotected first‑round picks (including the No. 16 pick in 2025, plus Orlando’s 2028 and 2030 picks and a 2026 Suns/Wizards pick) and a lightly protected 2029 pick swap. Bane, 26, averaged 19.2 pts, 6.1 reb, 5.3 ast, shooting 39.2% from three in 69 games last season. Live coverage on 92.9 FM ESPN, Memphis' Sports Station.

Under contract through 2028–29 after signing a nearly $200 million extension, he brings elite shooting (41 % career 3PT) and two‑way defense to a Magic team desperate for spacing. Memphis, struggling post‑All‑Star break, gets back court depth and long‑term flexibility—while adding veteran leadership and a massive haul of draft capital.
