Prior to Game 1 of the NBA Finals NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said that the league would wait till after the 2023 NBA Finals to announce Ja Morant's suspension. This so the NBA wouldn't take attention away from the NBA's marquee final series of the season. So much for stopping distractions. Prior to Game 3 of the NBA Finals (a 109-94 win for Denver) Silver once again didn't reserve extensive commentary when asked about Ja Morant by Stephen A. Smith/ESPN:
