The University of Memphis issued a statement late Saturday (6/3) explaining that Kerrick Jackson is indeed leaving the University of Memphis for another coaching job:
Kendall Rogers from D1 Baseball reported that Jackson is leaving the Memphis Tigers program to join the University of Missouri as head coach.
Jackson, a Missouri native, was an assistant coach with the University of Missouri and recently completed his year with the Memphis Tigers. Jackson was the first black head coach of Memphis Tigers Baseball. He led the Tigers to a 29-28 season and the 6-seed in the American Athletic Conference Tournament.
