Memphis Grizzlies snapped their skid in dramatic fashion Saturday night, edging the Chicago Bulls 125-124 at FedExForum in one of their most thrilling finishes of the season.
Memphis leaned on balanced scoring and late-game execution to secure the win. Cedric Coward led the way with 24 points, delivering the biggest moment of the night by knocking down two clutch free throws with just 6.5 seconds remaining. Tyler Burton added 18 points, while Jahmai Mashack chipped in 17, helping the Grizzlies build just enough offense to withstand a relentless Chicago push.
The game remained tight throughout, with neither team able to create much separation. Memphis carried a 10-point edge into the fourth quarter, but the Bulls stormed back behind a huge performance from Matas Buzelis, who finished with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Giddey added a triple-double (18 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists), keeping Chicago within striking distance late.
The final minute delivered pure chaos. After a Memphis three-pointer gave the Grizzlies a brief cushion, Chicago answered immediately to cut it to one. Coward’s free throws ultimately proved decisive, as a last-second Bulls attempt came just after the buzzer.
