The 2026 Memphis Sports Hall of Fame class celebrates a remarkable group of athletes, coaches and contributors whose accomplishments helped shape the city's rich sports history. Headlining this year's class is former Memphis Tigers basketball coach John Calipari, whose nine-year run transformed the Tigers into a national powerhouse and put Memphis on the college basketball map.
Joining Calipari are former NBA standout Larry Kenon, Super Bowl-winning kicker Stephen Gostkowski, longtime football coach Tim Harris, Major League Baseball coach and former player Stubby Clapp, softball star Chelsea Bramlett and respected tennis contributor Phil Chamberlain. Inductees represent excellence across multiple sports and generations. Their impact extends beyond championships and statistics, reflecting leadership, community involvement and lasting influence on athletes throughout the Mid-South. The 2026 induction ceremony will be held September 16 at the Renasant Convention Center, where Memphis will once again celebrate the individuals who have elevated the city's proud sporting tradition.
The late Larry Rea from our sister Audacy station 790 The Bet, host of Outdoors with Larry Rea, will be honored with the 2026 John Stamm/JJ Guinozzo Legacy Award.
