This is why Anthony Davis is in LA.
The Lakers center drained the game-winning 3-pointer on Sunday night to lead Los Angeles to a 105-103 Game 2 victory over the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals to take a 2-0 series lead.
Davis, who has a career 32% shooting percentage from beyond the arc, was open at the left wing where Rajon Rondo, inbounding from along the baseline with 2.1 seconds remaining, found Davis and the All-Star center got off a clean shot that he drained for the win.
His Lakers teammates mobbed him as they are now two wins away from advancing to the NBA Finals.
Davis finished with a game-high 31 points, as well as nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks. LeBron James chipped in with a double-double – 26 points and 11 rebounds, as well as four assists.
The Lakers and Nuggets resume Game 3 on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
