Jamal Adams appears to roast the Jets after Zach Wilson benching

It seems there's no love lost between Jamal Adams and his former team, the New York Jets.

The injured Seahawks safety took to Twitter on Wednesday shortly after Gang Green announced starting quarterback Zach Wilson would be inactive for Week 12 following weeks of poor play and his apparent refusal to take accountability for it.

Adams, now in his third season in Seattle, posted a well-worn GIF of rapper Jay-Z making the "yikes" face.

The Jets made Adams the sixth overall pick in 2017 after he starred at LSU. He was a first-team All-Pro in his final season in New York, in 2019, but requested a trade the following offseason amid a contract dispute.

The Jets sent Adams to Seattle in exchange for two first-rounders and a third-rounder. The 27-year-old Texas native has played well when healthy but struggled with injuries, missing four games in 2020, five last year, and all but one game this season.

Given Adams' inconsistent availability and the Jets' resurgent defense, it's safe to say fans haven't exactly missed his efforts.

Many of them fired back at Adams in defense of their favorite team:
