Memphis is reportedly embarking on a bold three‑year plan (through April 30, 2028, with possible extensions) to invest $55-million in renovations at AutoZone Park and surrounding areas where the Redbirds play. The city has contracted Viestte LLC in June  2025 to lead the upgrades, which are expected to encompass modernized facilities and infrastructure enhancements around the ballpark according to the Memphis Commercial Appeal.

AutoZone Park, originally built in 2000 at a cost of over $80- million and currently seating 10,000 fans (after renovations a few years ago), needs upgrades that Redbirds executives have hinted could endanger the future of the Redbirds in Memphis if not completed. This plan brings the stadium up to current Major League Baseball standards once again.
