The Memphis Grizzlies didn't win a quarter or the game Thursday (7/14) in their 2022 NBA Summer League matchup against the Boston Celtics. Final: Boston Celtics 108 Memphis Grizzlies 91

Grizzlies Owner Robert Pera, Ja Morant, and Ja Morant's father Tee Morant were all in attendance to see the game on the campus of UNLV.

Memphis was led in scoring by Ziaier Williams with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Santi Aldama, David Roddy, Xavier Tillman, Kenny Lofton Jr. and Kennedy Chandler all scored in double-figures. But it was Lofton who was the brightest spot for Memphis, it seemed, as he once again used his size and shooting touch to make his presence felt. Lofton scored 16 points to go along with 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Lofton might be deserving of a roster spot beyond his current 2-way deal with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Memphis will have one more 2022 summer league game to find out what the rest of their off-season holds for the rookies and newer players. Game TBD. Full coverage of the Grizzlies Friday on 92.9 FM ESPN, Memphis' Flagship Home of the Grizzlies.
