“We would love to make a deal earlier than later,” Anthopoulos said. “It just feels like deadlines drive things. Those clubs already not performing and by June players are shipped away. It makes it a long summer for clubs and their fans.
"We will certainly try, but because sellers will have more time to test the market, I just think they will take all the time they have.”
