It begins with a tough test against the Seattle Seahawks at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Week 1.

"How can you game plan for the combinations they can put in the secondary?" Durham asks. With Damontae Kazee likely the starting safety, the Falcons have the ability to move Ricardo Allen around.

"I mean, if you're somebody who's trying to scout the look and all of the sudden Ricardo Allen is playing you know, he's shading boundary corner side--I think (Isaiah) Oliver is going to be interesting. How all those pieces get put together, especially Keanu. Maybe this is the year we see Keanu Neal play more down than kind of straight center field in front of Ricardo."

The secondary coupled with the new look defensive line could give the Seahawks offensive coordinator fits.

"There's some pretty interesting things that could happen for Atlanta on the defensive side of the ball. And I think early, if you're Pete Carroll and those guys, what the hell are you thinking about on opening day? You can't go back and watch last year's tape."

"Russell Wilson's going to see probably a pretty heavy dose of un-scouted stuff when he starts taking snaps at Mercedes-Benz in Week 1."
