Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff joined the Morning Show with John and Hugh on Friday to talk about his thoughts on the team's offseason and the plans for the 2019 season.
The Falcons will have the No. 14 selection in this year's draft, and many fans are wondering which position that Falcons will hone in on. While most believe the line of scrimmage, on both sides of the ball, is where the team should focus on, Dimitroff said that's not the only position they're looking at.
Thomas Dimitroff told @JohnFricke & @Bighugh53 the cornerback position “is a strong consideration for us” in terms of where CB is ranked on the #Falcons draft board.

January 11, 2019 "Last year we came in thinking very highly of our secondary, and we also drafted in the second round; we end up pulling a corner that we thought was going to fit in very well with us," Dimitroff said of drafting Isaiah Oliver out of Colorado. "That's something that we will continue to look at."
Damontae Kazee, who filled in when free safety Ricardo Allen went out with an Achilles injury, will play a big factor into drafting more secordary players as well.
Thomas Dimitroff told @JohnFricke & @Bighugh53 that where the #Falcons place Damontae Kazee in the 2019 secondary will play into how the team decided to draft players to fill the rest of the secondary.

January 11, 2019 Would you be okay with the Falcons taking a cornerback with the No. 14 overall pick? Or, with the amount of defensive line players entering this year's draft, they should only focus on the line of scrimmage?
