Andy Levitre joined Dukes and Bell live from Radio Row at Super Bowl 53 and spoke about his rehab.
“It’s good, feels really good," said Levitre. "Going thru it a second time around I feel a lot better than it did the first time, and getting it ready to go.”
Levitre talked about when he injured his triceps.
“I pretty much knew, unfortunately it happened to me seven months before," said Levitre. "I pretty much knew the feeling. It happened in the second game of the year against the Panthers, I was going out to block someone and I felt it tear, it was a defect where the tendon connects.”
Levitre talked about the difficulty of running the zone blocking scheme.
“From a mental aspect I personally don’t find it very hard to grasp," said Levitre. "From a physical aspect there are a lot of split second moves you have to make, I don’t think this scheme was meant for 360-pound guys, but you have to be able to hold up in pass protection and run blocking.”
Levitre when asked if he would be back next year with our Falcons...
“I haven’t heard anything yet," said Levitre. "My focus right now is to get my arm right and then we will see what happens, nothing as of yet, I have a son due here coming up on Monday so I’m kinda on call for the time being.”
