Schlenk: Only thing Bucks lack is experience

John Fricke and Hugh Douglas are joined by Atlanta Hawks General Manager Travis Schlenk to talk about the latest with the NBA playoffs and the draft lottery quickly approaching.

Schlenk on Douglas’ good feeling that the Atlanta Hawks are going to get the first pick, “We got a little over a 10% chance.”

Then Douglas told Schlenk that P.J. Tucker is a free agent this summer and he should look at bringing him in.

Schlenk then talked about the Rockets/Warriors series.

Schlenk on the Hawks current state, “We are still in the development stage. Hopefully we are in a position where we can add two-to-three twenty-something year olds to our team.”

Schlenk on what he is looking for in this draft, “We are looking for talented players. Hopefully we have two top ten picks.”

Schlenk then talked about the elite players in the playoffs: Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, and Nikola Jokic.

Schlenk on if the Milwaukee Bucks have enough to win a championship, “They only thing they are lacking is experience. They have the best defense in league and a superstar in Giannis.”

Schlenk on if he has any superstition, “I wish I had a great answer to this but I don’t but I’m just going let Jamie do her thing.”
