Atlanta Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk joined John Fricke and Hugh Douglas on Tuesday morning and made some comments that one might feel is contradictory.
Schlenk spoke about the Hawks season and said: "We had a good year. That sounds strange having only 30 wins, but you saw the growth, you saw the team start to come together, guys accepting their roles, and over the last couple of months we beat a lot of playoff teams and we feel good about the progress we made this year."
It almost seems off to speak about a season where you finish 22 or 23 games below .500 as a good year. But Schlenk feels that way and other Hawks fans should as well.
