The Hawks had already picked Virginia wing De'Andre Hunter at No. 4 via a trade with the New Orleans. Atlanta sent picks Nos. 8, 17 and 35 to the Pelicans in order to move up. The deal won't become official until July 6.

Not only are Hawks fans pumped about what took place last night, Middays with Andy and Randy are equally excited about the Hawks continuing to get better. And they liked that GM Travis Schlenk locked in and made the move for the player he wanted.

"It's very important with rebuilding basketball teams to keep your eye on the big picture," Andy said.

"Travis Schlenk had his eye on the big picture the whole time, and the goal was to accumulate assests to be able to move up in the draft. He did that yesterday. He got the guy that he wanted, and I don't know that I could be happier with that."

The guys say the moves Schlenk has made over the past three years have given them hope that this team is becoming a real contender.

"He has not given me a reason, yet, to not believe in what he's selling," Randy added. "I mean, the guy's come in and he's trying to put together a roster that can be successful for multiple years."
