Atlanta Hawks Taurean Prince returned to action against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday after missing the two previous games for the birth of his son. But his time in the game didn't last long.

Prince was ejected with 7:38 left to go in the third-quarter after receiving his second technical foul of the game.

The Hawks forward appeared to say something to head official Scott Foster, and was tossed.

Taurean Prince said something to Scott Foster and got ejected. No idea what was said, but it didn't last long or involve much beyond a few words.

Atlanta Hawks head coach Lloyd Pierce joined the Midday Show with Rick and John saying that while he didn't hear the comment as the game was being played, he was informed afterwards exactly what was said.

"Honestly, I got no comment on it. There's certain things you can't say, and you shouldn't say."

"What was said was inappropriate, and it's unfortunate, but it is a teaching lesson."

Pierce said that guys have to learn to play through adversity, even when calls don't always go their way.

"There's times when you're intense and you're competitive; there's times that you've got to play through it. But there's also a respect factor that we all have to play to."

"We want the officials to respect us. We have to show respect as well, and sometimes it's the words. It's not really how much or how aggressive you say it, it's just what you say that can get you in trouble."
