The Atlanta Legends have been on a roll since they elevated Aaron Murray to starting quarterback. He's won two games in-a-row for the team as the main man under center.
Murray joined John and Hugh on Friday to discuss his assent to the starting roll, and the differences between the AAF and NFL.
When asked what it was like to have to sit and wait, Murray says that you just have to be patient and wait your turn. Your opportunity can come at any time.
Murray also talked about the difference between the AAF and NFL saying that because of the rules, there's a lot that the defenses can't do. There's more time to prepare. Conversely, he says there's not as much to study for defensive players.
John asked Murray if he thought that the NFL was watching, and Murray says that there are scouts, coaches, and GMs involved at every game.
Aaron thinks that there will be a lot of players that get opportunities in the NFL after the AAF season ends.
"I think the relationship is, hopefully, growing," Murray said. "I think that's what all the players are hoping for, that the AAF and NFL are somewhat of a feeder; it's somewhat of a developmental league for guys to have that opportunity to get into the next level."
"There's a ton of talent, and I think you're going to see a ton of guys as soon as this season's over, have an opportunity to go make a 53-man roster in the NFL."
Oh, and Aaron is getting married in Athens in a few months.
